Crocheted Linen Stitch Wool Scarf in Bright Colors
Crocheted Linen Stitch Wool Scarf in Bright Colors
The pinks, blues, greens, peaches - and many colors in between - found in this yarn, remind me of strings of lights wrapping around the Christmas tree. I decided to keep the crochet simple with a pretty linen stitch in order to let the colors shine. This scarf was finished off with a tasseled fringe.
The scarf is photographed in natural light, and I think the pictures came out pretty true. But please note there may be tonal differences in real life.
The scarf is handmade by me and is a wholly unique item, created with yarn from an independent dyer. This particular dyer is On The Round, based in Maine, and the color way is called “Hopeful”. The yarn is fingering weight, 80% super wash merino wool and 20% nylon.
The scarf is about 62” long minus the fringe, which adds another 10”, and is about 12” tall. Plenty large enough to wrap around your neck a couple times and stay cozy. The weight and yarn content make for a scarf with a lovely drape that will keep you warm and snuggled up, or it could be used as a beautiful accessory to enhance an outfit.
The scarf will come prewashed, and comes from a dog friendly, smoke free home.
Care instructions: best to hand wash, but it could be washed in a cold water, gentle setting in the washer, and should always be laid flat to dry, NEVER dried in the dryer.
